From the early 1970s the Arizona Communication Association was active in promoting teaching, scholarship, and service for students and faculty in the state studying Communication in colleges and universities in the state.  In 2018 the ACA decided to rename itself the Southwest Communication Association and continues to be a place where students across the state and their professors can share ideas each year.  We are a small but dedicated professional association that is is both supportive and welcoming of everyone interested in the discipline.
